Another Week in Solola
This place is crazy, idk if I've said that enough haha. Elder Asay and i have agreed that you just feel like you're camping when you're in this area haha. its just freezing cold and pure mountains haha. Its about to start the rain season and I'm not super excited for that haha. On Tuesday we were in an aldea called Tocache Which is like a 30 min bus ride from the house bc you have to go around the mountain to get there. so we were there and a member was showing us around and it got pretty late and we didn't know that busses don't run after 6 so we had to go down the back way, like literally down the mountain on a dirt trail. so we started walking and it started raining harder than i have ever seen and the dirt trail we were on turned to a river in seconds and we were slipping and sliding down it. That was one of the craziest things I've ever done. And then we got back to the house and there was no power so we couldn't dry our stuff and we had to wake up at 3 the next day to go to a conference and there still wasn't power or water so we showered w water from the pila outside and it was freezing cold haha but we survived, kinda haha. Elder Asay got really sick so that has been super sucky but were just out here camping and enjoying life.
Also other good news is that the District SololĂ is going to be a stake so theres a big conf in may and maybe an apostle will come!! so that has been huge news for Guatemala!!
Here are some random pics from the past couple week.
Hope you all have a good week and i love you all!
