Week 25

Thers not much to tell except that we had a baptism this last week and my camera died so i only got one crappy pic haha but ill attach it below. Besides that nothing much has happened, ive just been super exahusted this whole week haha.

  Im honestly loving the mission, ive met so many awesome people that have changed my life and i love being apart of the work of the lord! I love you all and have a good week!!

Sorry for last week i was super sick and didnt really email, it was super rough! but were all good now. 

 So last wednesday, Elder Cook came to our mission and talked to us and it was one of the coolest things ive ever seen, the most spiritual meeting ive ever been in. He tetified of the savior and it was incredible. some things that are just so special that you keep it in your heart for forever!

 There were changes in the mission yesterday but we didnt have any so im still here in la Paz w Elder Arce echando fuego. I feel like ive been here a while but i freaking love these people here!

  So for Pday we Went to Panajachel which is by lake Atitlan and holy cow its pretty there haha. we had to get up at 3 to leave so that wasnt super fun but besides that it was a fun day. Ps you can buy a ton of stuff w 50 bucks here haha. So ill put some pics below! 

  I just want to tell a little story that heppened last night hahah. SO we were knocking doors and we found the new inv so we started talking and sharing a message and everything and then her dad came out and hes a huge JW and started talking to us for like 20 min and by the time he left, his daughter had gone back inside so i yelled back in bc the wiondow was still open and then her mom came out so i stuck my hand in to shake her hand (bc every door has a window on it) and she just yelled ¨im busy¨ and slammed the window w my hand still in it and latched it shut and the space is only big enough for a pencil and so i thought for sure i broke my hand and i just kept yelling in to her saying my fingers are stuck and she didnt care haha and so my comp was dying of laughter and finally got it together and helped me push the window open and when i took it out my ring was bent like a half moon on my finger. but its whatever haha it was a fun experience haha.

Week 22

So yesterday for pday, gustavo, a recent convert, brought like twelve kids from la paz to play football wtih us and it was so awesome. Ill attach some pics and everything but then i started thinking about gustavo and some of the converts here and realized i havent told you guys how awesome they really are. 

  Gustavo and his fam was baptised the sunday before i got to this area and since then he has given us a reference every week and four of them have been baptized!! He just got called as our new ward mission leader and has done more missionary work then the bishop hahah. He used to be in a gang like top dog so everyone in la paz knows him and its super funny to do visits with him bc everyone knows he used to smoke and drink and know hes out with the missionaries. I think they should do a story on him in the liahona hahah. 

  Dora and Carlos are amazing. Elder Jacob and i found them one of the first weeks i was here and they are incredible. I am older than both of them and they already have a kid haha. We helped them get married and baptised because they didnt have the money and now they are super active. We just baptised Doras sister like three weeks ago and her brother on sunday. 

  Luis and Celeste are the best. They both were in another marriage and have kids that live en otro lados. We found them walking in the street and we invited them to church and they went and loved it. Luis got baptized as soon as he could. His wife was super evangelica, Idk what that is in english, but she took a little longer to accept it but in the end they both got baptised and are awesome. They already know more about the book of mormon that half the members haha. Luis went and vistited his kids with the missionaries that like in a nother mission and so were waitng to hear what happens with them but they are super cool. Ill attach some pics of all of them.

Week 21

This week has gone by so freaking slow haha. We are goign to go to the temple on thursday so we changed our pday to thursday and i am so tired haha. not haveing a pday on your normal day makes the week go by so slow haha. But im super excited for the temple!

 Not a ton has happened this week thats worth sharing. were going to have a baptism this sunday thats fijo! and a posibility so maybe two!! to be honest, i feel like ive nocked every door in my area haha you get to a point where you feel like youve found about everybody which is terrible to think bc then its harder to find people to teach. But at the same time i dont want to go bc all of the converts here are awesome! Gustavo, who was baptized the week before i got here, is our new ward mission leader!! Hes done more missionary work than any other member here haha. I love these people here but at the same time im ready to get to know a new area. 

  I told pres in our last interview that i heard the coast is super cool so maybe hell send me there next, then i will really know what guatemala is like haha. 

  I bought a backpack last week and im going to but a bunch of corte on it so ill send a puick when i finish haha. 

  Just to end ill share a funny story. Last week was pretty rough, wednesday we were looking for new people for like two hours and didnt find a single one, which is weird for guatemala haha, So we walked past this door and i felt like i should knock it, so i knocked it and this little kid opened it and he had the biggest smile on his face and was super happy to see us when all of the sudden, his mom smaked him in the back of the head and cursed him out for opening the door and slammed it in out face hahaha poor little kid, well go back one day when shes not so angry and convert them haha.
